Artesa 1999 Reserve Sauvignon Blanc (Napa Valley)

This is a wonderfully complex wine that marches to the beat of a different drum. It's got unusual but fragrant aromas of hyacinth and guava in addition to the standard citrus notes, and is rich and creamy in the mouth. The flavors are citrusy, nutty and bone-dry. It's pretty much as fancy as Sauvignon Blanc gets in California.
