Asuncion Ridge 2016 Salacious Red (Paso Robles)

Blistered black-plum aromas are slightly tart on the nose of this blend of 59% Grenache 23% Syrah and 18% Mourvèdre, but are warmed up by spice tones of nutmeg and vanilla. There's a violet-like snap to the palate, where purple-flower and plum flavors are fresh and tangy. Matt Kettmann
