Great structure and concentrated, black fruit flavors are complemented by handsome toasted oak nuances of light char, tobacco and graphite on a full body and bolstered by velvety, moderate tannins. Winemaker Keith Emerson did a long, slow fermentation, partially in French barrels, and aged the wine in 605 new French barrels. Best 2026–2036. Jim Gordon
