Auburn Road 2016 Giulia Red (Outer Coastal Plain)

Cassis and black plum aromas are joined by a smoked paprika tingle on the nose. Flavors of wild raspberry and juicy pomegranate lift the palate and are balanced by a savory peppery spice note. The finish is loaded with oak, tobacco and more pepper. The tannins are dry, firm and structured, well balanced by bright acidity. This is harmonious and should evolve nicely; drink now–2026.
