August Kesseler 2014 Gutswein Pinot Noir (Rheingau)

Editors' Choice

Kesseler's “basic” Pinot Noir offers all the deeply concentrated black cherry and plum flavors of its more expensive siblings, but its sauvage wild berry perfume and delicate tannin structure make it irresistibly hedonistic. Tasted in 2020, it's still plenty youthful and should continue to improve through at least 2030. Anna Lee C. Iijima
