This blend of 75% Nebbiolo and 25% Sangiovese from relatively young but quite experienced winemaker Christian Garvin delivers aromas of plums, leather, smoke and cigar. It's both juicy and perfectly grippy on the palate, with more plums, dried cherries, dark chocolate and a nice peppery acidity holding down the fort. Matt Kettmann
