First things first, the wine is from Avignonesi, and it's a 50-50 blend of Sangiovese and Merlot. In terms of power, the Sangiovese drives the boat, while the Merlot navigates. Aromas of tar, bacon, plum, and oak are strong. In the mouth, zingy cherry and plum flavors are supported by gritty tannins. Lots of fruit and power; firm as a rock.
