Avila 2001 Cote d'Avila Red (Santa Barbara County)

This blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre suffers from the dreaded South Coast veggies. The grapes simply did not get ripe. Aromas and flavors veer toward canned asparagus and earth. Will do in a pinch, and the price isn't bad.
