Nearly black in color, with a nose that pulses forth with tire rubber and later some lighter, more distant aromas of green vegetables. While there is a chocolaty sweetness to the cherry and cassis fruit, that same fruit has an alter ego, which is bell pepper. You taste the green mostly at the front of the palate and very late. In between is some richness and lots of extract. Michael Schachner
