This vineyard emphasizes rather steely mineral-driven flavors. The fruit is ripened in an austere mode, firm and sculpted, with flavors of wild mountain berry. A whiff of tobacco follows through, with a similar vein in the finish. It's a dense wine that will reward aggressive decanting.
