Most of the grapes were sourced from the southwest-facing side of the Mayacamas, not far from Monte Rosso, where the variety has found a powerful, historic home. Bacon and maple syrup hit the nose and palate immediately, with a juicy undercurrent of blackberry and blueberry adorned in clove. Full-bodied, the finish is smoky in espresso.
