Babcock 1999 Eleven Oaks Sangiovese (Santa Barbara County)

This interesting Sangiovese from the Santa Ynez Valley is a big wine, with a burst of rich, ripe berry fruit in the mouth and detailed tannins. The mouthfeel is sappy, almost viscous, but saved by good acidity and a dusty dryness.
