Babcock 2009 Grand Cuvée Estate Grown Pinot Noir (Sta. Rita Hills)

This is a best of barrels selection, basically a Reserve, although with the 2009 vintage, the Grand Cuvée designation will disappear. The wine shows lots of rich, spicy cherry, licorice, cola and pomegranate flavors, wrapped into firm tannins. Should develop over the next 3–4 years.
