Balboa offers a fine line-up of pure varietal wines at moderate prices. This Syrah is the star of the current releases, with sharply defined black cherry candy fruit holding down center court. There are herbal notes (thyme, rosemary) and a pleasing juiciness in the mouth. Coffee, licorice and black pepper run through the polished finish.
