Balthasar Ress 2001 Hattenheimer Engelmannsberg Eiswein Riesling (Rheingau)

Something of a disappointment from a top producer. The wine has rustic aromas and flavors which hide the obvious potential. There are hints of quince flavors and acidity, which could well make the wine come good. Roger Voss
