The nose of this Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is thick with soil, mushroom and soy-sauce notes but also salty dark chocolate and a bit of wild mint. Cola and crunchy red and black berries come through on the palate, with a bit more of the metallic and herbaceous flavors of black olives, and springy tannins. Danielle Callegari
