Barboursville Vineyards 2014 Octagon Red (Virginia)

The nose of this Bordeaux-style blend is laden with blackberry, violets, clove and eucalyptus. The round palate doles out similar complexity, with additions of bramble berries and forest floor tones. The tannins are smooth and toasty, which translates onto the long and dry finish. Carrie Dykes
