Barnard Griffin 2000 Syrah (Columbia Valley (WA))

A first for Barnard Griffin, this young Syrah is still going through a lot of changes, and needs some time to show its strength. The early impression was of a sweet, grapey, forward wine with berry-flavored fruit and hints of white pepper. A straightforward, fruit-oriented, New World style. Paul Gregutt
