Barnard Griffin 2005 Reserve Syrah (Columbia Valley (WA))

This is very spicy, fragrant and loaded with punchy flavor. It's got a piney, resinous character under the tart, tangy berry and cranberry-flavored fruit. Dense and concentrated, it's a tight young wine that should be cellared for four or five more years. Paul Gregutt
