The 2015 vintage of this wine is as rich and bombastic as the last. It leads with a heady nose of ripe plum, black cherry, chocolate, vanilla, licorice, woody oak notes and black pepper. The alcohol is warming on the palate, making the fruit feel syrupy and the texture thick, supported by angular, oaky tannins and finishing a little bitter and astringent. This is a monster of a wine. It will likely soften with time, but it's anybody's guess how long that will take. Christina Pickard
