Barossa Valley Estate 2016 Shiraz (Barossa Valley)

A nose of dense blackberry, raspberry, licorice, ground pepper and sweet, toasty oak notes leads to tangy fruit on the palate. Tannins are sturdy but a touch astringent, and texturally it feels a little woolly and heavy, with slightly bitter oak notes creeping in toward the end. Christina Pickard
