Barossa Valley Estate 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon (Barossa Valley)

Best Buy

An appealingly fruit nose of plump plums and blackberries is quickly followed by fistfuls of herbs and spices, with a tangy, sumac-like note and a hint of dark chocolate. The palate is muscular but restrained. The chalky tannins are chiseled, carving a place between the silky, ripe fruit and spice. On the big, ripe and tannic side, this needs a decanter and some serious protein alongside it. Christina Pickard
