Barrister 2005 Bacchus Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon (Columbia Valley (WA))

This has a great nose, with bright cherry and berry fruit. Berry, black cherry, coffee and earth components combine in a pleasing and muscular blend. The midpalate is broad and chewy, with plenty of liquorous highlights. Tannins are a bit drying and the finish shows some sharp alcoholic burn. Paul Gregutt
