A rich gold hue, Bass's Estate Chard shows a quiet power. It commences with gentle aromas of lemon, melon rind, and toast, with a little seashell reduction. The palate is beautifully textured—satiny and mouthfilling—with a cream-and-toast underbelly. Currently on the shy side, this could age for a decade or more but would make for elegant food pairing now. Christina Pickard
