Beacon Hill 2013 Chehalem Mountain Vineyard Pinot Noir (Chehalem Mountains)

Just one barrel was produced from the own-rooted vines planted almost 50 years ago. It's earthy and scented with a menthol/eucalyptus note, that carries on through. Cranberry flavor reflects the rather low alcohol, but there is no hint of unripeness or any vegetative character. Paul Gregutt
