Beaulieu Vineyard 1999 Merlot (Napa Valley)

This wine is both good and a good value. It's ripe but not cloying, teasing with plum and cherry flavors but then turning herbal and earthy. It's not an ager because it's too soft, but it was created to be consumed with food. Luke Burke
