Beaulieu Vineyard 1999 Signet Syrah (Napa County)

What aromas we can discern from this Syrah's tight nose run the gamut from vanilla and plum to plastic and resin. It's balanced in the mouth, but has a strangely gravelly mouthfeel. More minerals on the palate and on the finish obscure slight blackberry flavor.
