This crowd-pleasing South Aussie Shiraz opens with heady aromas of plums and cherries, with lashings of licorice, violet and tar. Although the palate is wound in sturdy if somewhat tough, granular tannins, there's nice freshness and plenty of juicy fruit. The oak is neatly tucked away. Christina Pickard
