Dark cherry and cranberry scents mesh with wood-spice and forest undergrowth aromas on the nose of this bottling from a region that's starting to gain more attention. Chalky tannins provide a very firm structure on the palate, certainly due to the 28 months of French oak aging. Strong acidity slices through the red-fruit and allspice flavors. Drink 2019–2028.
