Ben Haines 2017 Chardonnay (Yarra Valley)

This small-batch producer excels at textural white wines and his Chardonnay is no exception. It walks a line between delicacy and richness. Quiet characters of melon, apple, flowers, honeysuckle, white spice and wet stone are framed by soft oak. A focused line of acidity and a chalky texture lead to a citrusy zing on the finish.
