Benegas 2006 Benegas Lynch Meritage (Mendoza)

Huge as a grizzly bear, with grilled meat, dried herbs and oregano on the nose. The palate is really big, with astringent tannins and large flavors of toast, blackberry, spice and caramel. Finishes sweet, with burnt brown sugar and drying tannins. A four-grape wine led by Cabernet Sauvignon. Michael Schachner
