Benom 2018 L'Essor Rosé (Paso Robles)

Very pale pink in color, this rosé blend of 74% Grenache and 26% Cabernet Sauvignon from two vineyards is exciting and delicious, starting with faint yet precise aromas of peach, white flower and rainy cement. There is extreme tension to the palate, where hints of citrus and pluot flesh are framed by a brilliantly taut structure. Matt Kettmann
