Benton-Lane 2018 Estate Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

Considerably riper than the previous vintage, it's just a bit different stylistically, though in the same quality range. It opens a bit chewy, with accents of lemon verbena and pekoe tea. Those herbal flavors are more obvious than the light red fruits, which are quickly overtaken by drying tannins. Paul Gregutt
