Benziger 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon (Sonoma County)

Balance and user-friendliness are what this wine is all about. The blackberry and herb flavors aren't overdone. The tannins are thick and dusty, but negotiable. There's a dab of smoky oak, but just enough to season. The result is a very good dinner wine, from fast food to cookbook special.
