Though 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, this Bordeaux-style blend includes 6% each of Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Plum and cassis fruits anchor the dark flavors, enhanced with streaks of licorice, espresso, smoke and tar. At the moment the tannins remain quite astringent and the overall wine a bit tight, but a little more time in bottle may smooth that out.
