Beronia 2004 III a.C. (Rioja)

Thick and chocolaty, with prune and black cherry aromas giving it a bon-bon bouquet. The palate is creamy in feel but modest in structure. Blueberry flavors are sweet and syrupy, but the layering and complexity could use some work. Good Rioja but not for $75. Michael Schachner
