Berryessa Gap 2011 Club Series Durif (Yolo County)

A hearty, tannic, rich and enjoyably different red wine. This Durif—the French term for Petite Sirah—has a deep, red-black color. It offers meaty and plummy flavors, good firm tannins and richness in the texture. A thread of ripe fruit carries over to the finish. Enjoy it with equally rich food. Jim Gordon
