Bethany 2014 Shiraz (Barossa)

There's a barnyard quality about this wine that's hard not to notice, but there's also a good lick of raspberry, strawberry, floral and dried herb aromas. The palate is silky and juicy-fruited but, grippy, oaky tannins never quite knit the wine together. It finishes on a chewy, slightly sour note. Christina Pickard
