Bethany 2018 First Village Shiraz-Cabernet (Barossa Valley)
A pleasant if confected strawberry fruit aroma opens this oh-so-Aussie blend. It's backed by a leafy green note like flower stems and sweet spice. The palate is full-figured but less hefty than many in this style. Acidity feels somewhat forced, adding a sour sense to the fruit and an astringency to the tannins.
