This open-knit, crimson-colored Shiraz smells of freshly preserved blackberry jam and black cherry cordial. Mint, dark chocolate and furniture polish notes lie beneath. The glossy, plush palate shows more chocolaty oak than the nose lets on. Opulent dark fruit and dusty, earthy spice flow through to a tangy finish, where a bit of woody astringency pops up.
