This five-grape blend, led by 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, is very extracted, evident through the caramelized, oaky aromas of ripe black plum and blackberry on the nose. The caramel picks up vanilla on the palate, where acidity and tannins add substance to the cooked fruit flavors. Matt Kettmann
