R. Stuart & Co. 2016 Big Fire Pinot Gris (Willamette Valley)

The lightly tawny gold hue suggests that this wine should be consumed over the next year or two. The name bears no relation to the recent fires in Oregon. The wine is smooth, ripe and lightly sweet, with flavors of bruised pear, orange liqueur and toasted hazelnuts. It's a rich, almost opulent style. Paul Gregutt
