Clocking in at 11.4% alcohol, this refreshing Chard, which, on appearance and even in smell initially, could be mistaken for cloudy apple juice, takes its time opening. When it does, it reveals a wild side, from notes of bruised apple and lemon to honey and wet hay, to a vermouth botanicals vibe. A pithy, skinsy palate is sliced with crunchy acidity and a zesty zing like biting into a lemon. Certainly natural in style but not overtly funky. Could be a fun pairing with cheese board fare.
