Birichino 2012 Besson Vineyard Old Vines Grenache (Central Coast)

Coming from vines planted in 1910, this wine is very light in the glass and reserved on the nose, with hints of iron and red fruits. It's tart on the palate, without much ripe fruit, proving rather dainty but offering a decent grip for such a light wine. Matt Kettmann
