This is a dense and seductive blend, with brooding yet enticing aromas of mocha, cocoa-dusted cherry, brambly berry and black forest cake. The medium-weight palate is plush and smooth, but not overdone, framed by ample acidity and velvety tannins that lend structure to the rich dark-fruit flavors. Final notes of black pepper, olive and toasted oak unfold on the enduring finish. Drink now–2021.
