Raisiny red-currant, orange-rind, underbrush and dried meat aromas are framed by quite prominent vanilla-chocolate oak. The palate is medium weight. It feels a bit thin due to a combo of chalky, drying tannins and lifted acidity, with little fruit weight. Austere and undeniably cool climate, it lacks the depth and power of this label's upper-tier Shiraz, Richardson. Christina Pickard
