Bluebird Hill 2018 Reserve Chardonnay (Willamette Valley)

Rich and creamy, with a leesy, textured mouthfeel, this offers perfectly ripened tree fruits along with light streaks of caramel and buttered nuts. It's a wine of impeccable balance, with what seems to be more new oak exposure than the regular bottling, but not at all too much. The youthful energy of this young wine argues for drinking it sooner rather than later, though it should be fine over the next half decade. Paul Gregutt
