Bluebird Hill 2020 Blanc de Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

This unusual wine is more like a rosé than a Pinot Noir blanc. It has a lovely copper color with a toasty nose that reflects its fermentation and cellaring in oak. Given that it's from the fraught 2020 vintage, it may have been headed in a different direction but in any event it's a winner for consumers at this price. You get a pedigreed rosé with some nice barrel toast that can go with lighter grilled fare. Drink up. Paul Gregutt
