Bodega Carmen Rodríguez 2013 Carodorum Único Crianza (Toro)

Immensely ripe black fruit aromas are accompanied by no shortage of vanilla, chocolate and baked notes on the nose of this Toro heavyweight that spent 30 months in oak. The palate amounts to an avalanche of black fruit and tannins, while this tastes baked and exceedingly ripe. Touches of spice and complexity can be found on a finish saturated with blackberry and cassis flavors. Michael Schachner
