Bodega Rolland 2014 Mariflor Pinot Noir (Mendoza)

Cocoa, cinnamon and oak aromas are more prominent than fruit on this ripe, full-bodied Pinot Noir. A hard-driving palate is not about elegance, acidity and restraint. Flavors of black cherry, mocha and chocolate are tasty but atypical of most Pinot Noirs. A peppery finish with heavy oak spice seals the deal on this uniquely Rolland-style wine. Michael Schachner
